Volunteers helping in Hosanna Industries' Rehabilitation Program.Rehabilitating homes and lives of the needy
Hosanna Industries is helping low and very-low income families with their housing needs in two ways: new construction and rehabilitation of existing homes. Our services include a wide scope of repair services such as wheel-chair ramps, plumbing, roofing, and siding. Each family’s need is unique and we personally address each concern. Hosanna Industries has a strong, skilled staff of general laborers and master tradespersons to provide whatever assistance is needed. Volunteers are also available to mobilize to sites of major rehabilitation.

How is this program unique? Hosanna Industries and the homeowner commit to the project. This means we work together to secure the funds needed to complete the project. Often times not only does the client contribute, but also local churches, businesses, and municipalities. At Hosanna Industries, we believe in providing a helping hand to those in need. We may require sweat equity on a case by case basis. No project is too big or too small for our mission workers. We work together to provide good quality repair to the home and to offer hope to the family for whom the work is being completed. Our waiting list is rarely under 80 families needing our services. Through faith and work, we attend to the rehabilitation needs of the families. Clients are referred to us by churches, neighbors, friends, United Way agencies, departments of aging, and local utilities.

As Hosanna Industries is rehabilitating deteriorated homes, we are also providing homeowners and community members with education, healing, hope and a sense of unity. We are able to keep or bring families together; provide them with a safe, attractive and habitable home; enhance household dignity; and give them a new, stronger sense of community membership than ever before. We restore structures that were previously not only a community eyesore, but also in such a state of disrepair as to be unhealthy and unsafe for residents and neighbors. With our assistance, not only do the families receive a habitable shelter, but community stability is enhanced, real estate values are increased and neighborhood quality is improved. Daily, we provide neighborhoods with lessons in community organization and healing, the use of innovation to solve long-standing problems, commitments to one’s neighbors and hope for tomorrow. We do not simply rehabilitate older buildings. We are constantly at work revitalizing communities.

We need your help
Hosanna Industries is seeking to spread the word about the need for decent, affordable housing among all of our communities; seeking partnerships among community leaders to eradicate our impoverished neighborhoods; seeking to build relationships with volunteers from all types of organizations working together toward a common goal; seeking funding to support our mission of providing rehabilitative services to families in need; and seeking people to tell the story of Hosanna Industries that others may hear and learn and perhaps gain insights that may provide new growth and new possibilities in someone’s life.

Together, we will be able to provide assistance to needy families in Western Pennsylvania and across the nation. We can have confidence that our time and efforts are not spent foolishly because children will be able to have a bed upon which to sleep; a safe home in which to grow up; and a hope upon which to build a better tomorrow. Please, join Hosanna Industries in our housing rehabilitation efforts. Let’s commit together to do all we can do to make miracles happen.
